Miri bowlers sweep Miri Invitational C’ship
MIRI: Mohd Fiqri Mohd Yusuf (25 handicap) from Miri won the Miri Invitational Bowling Championship 2011 while second was Hazwan Hasni (15 handicap) and third was Adri Shahri Santosh (15 handicap) both of from Miri.
Mohd Fiqri won with a total of 2,274 pinfalls, including handicap over 10 games.He collected RM2,000 for winning the overall title and picked up another RM1,000 for winning the 180 and below average category, plus a trophy.
Runner-up Hazwan fell 2,253 pins and collected RM1,200 plus trophy while Adri collected RM800 and trophy for third place from his 2,122 pinfalls.
Hazwan and Adri also won another RM700 and RM500 for finishing second and third in the 180 and below average category.In the 180 and over average category, Isaac Russell Paul from Kuching picked up RM1,000 for his effort.
Meanwhile, Chong Jun Foo won RM1,000 for being the first bowler to hit a perfect game in the Invitational Bowling Championship.
The second bowler who hit the perfect game was Mohd Syazwan Sajeli from Kuching.He won himself a bowling ball sponsored by Advance Bowling Equipment.
The ladies division was won by Jacqueline Jenelee Sijore followed by Dyg Khairuniza Dhiyana and third Nurafidza Amran.
Jacqueline won RM200 while Dyg Khairuniza and Nurafidza picked up RM100 and RM80 respectively.
In the Youth Division, Chong Jun Foo had to go for a 1 game roll-off with Daniel Tan due to a tie in their scores.Chong Jun Foo won the game and the Boys title to pick up RM200 for his win.
Daniel picked up RM100 while Muhd Syafiq collected RM80 for third place.
