MTBC - NSC Nationwide Evaluation 2012

The annual MTBC - NSC Nationwide Evaluation for the new U.S.P.T.N. AAA and AA youth training programme for the state of Sarawak was concluded on Wednesday evening.
National youth coach, Azidi Ameran, Director of National Youth Development Programmes, Mr. George Tan  and Team Malaysia Manager, Mr. Cheah Ban Cheng were present to feast and grade our state's many young talents for the sport of tenpin bowling.
After about an hour of observation and consideuration, the names were tabulated as stated below;

Before midnight results were posted of the evaluation that was held in Crystal Bowl on M.T.B.C.'s Facebook page. 10 youths for the AAA programme was identified whereas 18 for the AA.
Congratulations to all the successful trainees and many thanks to the dedicated officials from the national body for sacrificing their time and effort. Much appreciation goes out to all the parents as well for their cooperation and commitment to the cause.
Coaches, you all have doneyour job well and we pray you all shall continue on producing talents for our beloved state and nation.
To all the AA listed trainees, you are to report for training tomorrow, Saturday, 04.02.2012 @8.00am at Crystal Bowl for a briefing and the start of your training for this year.

M.T.B.C. - NSC Nationwide Evaluation 2012 for the state of Sarawak

The scheduled M.T.B.C. - Nationwide Evaluation 2012 for the state of Sarawak on the 1st of February at Crystal Bowl, BDC, Kuching, will now start at 7.30pm with the registration. Roll-off will be at 8pm sharp. A minimal fee of RM20.00 will be imposed to all participants.
Interested youths (under the age of 18) to come into the U.S.P.T.N. AA and AAA training programme may begin registering yourself now. Forms can be obtained from Mr. Angelo Koay at Crystal Bowl Pro-Shop.

Sibu evaluation and progress assessment 2011

For many years Sibu has been without any sports council aided youth training program for tenpin bowling but they have abundance of talents and potentials. The likes of Tang Joh Six and Debbie Kong both were trained in this little town in Sarawak and have went on to represent the state in Sukma and even won numerous titles international while donning the national colours.
Following the foot steps of their seniors, present young trainees such as Christopher Tiong Lee Siong (14 years) and Nadine Kong Xiao Feng (16 years) has also shone brightly, notably their successes in the annual SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC National Junior Circuit where they have won nearly every year from the Under-12 to the Graded division. These two are no strangers in the SportExcel GP Finals as every year since 2008, they have always been able to qualify for it. With such excellent and consistent performance, both were given their debut in the Interstate team this year. Christopher Tiong went on to net his first national title, the Peter Yap Memorial, which is an Under-15 event held every Interstate as its championship curtain raiser, with an impressive win.

 

With this fact in our minds, Sibu Superbowl director, Mr. Desmond Wong, and A.B.A.S. together with state coaches worked together to get a state youth training program, Pusat Cemerlang, started there. We had an evaluation there on 25th April, 2011 to assess the youth trainees there under the center's program as well as to have a talk with the coaches based there.
We were very impressed with what we saw and liked the development and progress that their are achieving there despite funding and aiding their training program on their own. Bowlers there had very strong solid basics of the game which is an essential part of tenpin bowling.

A total of 47 bowlers turned up for the evaluation, 16 were girls and the remaining 31 were boys spanning from the tender age of 6 years to the sweet teen age of 16. Out of the total numbers, 16 (8 boys and 8 girls) were named in the list of bowlers to train in the hopefully coming Pusat Cemerlang program in Sibu.The full name list will be disclosed once we are able to get the green light from M.S.N.S. to do so.

 

 

It is without doubt that we, Jackson Ting Nik Soon, Reginald Walter Angkas and Angelo Koay, the team of state coaches, together with the Vice President of A.B.A.S. Mr Robert Lu, who made the trip fully and wholeheartedly agree and recommends to Majlis Sukan Negeri Sarawak to award Sibu with its own Pusat Cemerlang Youth Development Training Program.
We will put in the report and recommendation to the Pengarah of M.S.N.S. and hopefully what Sarawak tenpin bowling needs, another center to produce new talent for the state will be approved..

N.S.C. - M.T.B.C. Nationwide Evaluation 2011

The annual N.S.C. - M.T.B.C. Nationwide Evaluation 2011 for Sarawak has been confirmed on Friday the 28th January, 2011 at Crystal Bowl, BDC, Kuching. Registration will be at 6.45pm and evaluation will start at 7.00pm sharp. A minimal fee of RM25.00 will be charged with RM20.00 as the evaluation fee and RM5.00 for the 2011 A.B.A.S. membership fee for the youths.
Successful candidates meeting certain criterias will be absorbed into the U.S.P.T.N. AA and AAA training program for 2011. This year's evaluators will be Mr. George Tan, En. Azidi Ameran and Mr. Jackson Ting Nik Soon.
Interested youths in advancing their career in the sport of tenpin bowling should and are encourage to register themselves and participate in the evaluation.
